Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to eligible students. In order to determine eligibility for financial aid, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. SUU’s Federal School Code is 003678. Upon completion of a FAFSA and admittance into a program, students will be notified via email regarding outstanding requirements and award information.

Online students who have questions regarding financial aid are encouraged to reach out to Christopher Dimond, financial aid advisor for SUU online, by emailing [email protected].

Canvas

Canvas, our learning management system (LMS) and the digital platform for our online programs, offers a variety of tools to help online students receive the assistance they need.

For assistance with access to library materials, visit library.suu.edu or call 435-586-7933. Librarians are also available via e-mail at [email protected].

Online Tutoring

Online tutoring is a great option for online-only students who cannot come in to the physical Tutoring Center. We want to provide quality tutoring to all SUU students, even those who do not live in Cedar City.

Online tutoring is only offered during the hours that the physical Tutoring Center is open. We offer two types of online sessions:

  1. 20-minute session: Meet with a tutor briefly to help you solve problems or clarify concepts. This option is free and mirrors our physical walk-in center.
  2. 50-minute session: Meet with a tutor for a more in-depth discussion regarding the topics in your course. This option costs $10 per session, which will be billed to your student account, and mirrors our recurring one-on-one tutoring.

In order to take full advantage of our online tutoring services, students should have:

  • a computer
  • a webcam with microphone
  • a reliable internet connection
  • a quiet location to work

Schedule an online appointment with a tutor or, if you have more questions, contact the Tutoring Center at [email protected].
