  • What do you want students in your courses to learn? What is the learning outcome or objective?

    I would like to share my real-world professional experience with people interested in a career in audio for interactive media like games.

  • Why did you start teaching?

    I want to give back and teach others the things I wish I knew when starting out in my field.

  • What advice would you give to those considering the online Master of Music in Music Technology program?

    Learn everything you can about every subject offered. Ask a lot of questions and do lots of research.

  • What qualities make someone particularly successful in the music industry?

    Empathy, ability to 'zoom out' and teach complicated subjects to beginners, musical sensibility, and no fear of making mistakes

  • What do you think are the biggest challenges that people in the music industry face today?

    Landing a job: Very few full-time positions are available, so you'll need to have a diverse skillset.

  • What is the one book you think everyone should read?

    How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

  • Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students might not know about you.

    I love hacking culture and try to attend DEFCON every year.
